flower art friday 24.8.12

This is the first time I have participated in Flower Art Friday
over at Photos by LeAnne

This photo of the pink phlox in my garden was taken on a sunny day!
I used it SOOC with the texture Drippy by Karen Burns
(you can find her AMAZING work here and here)
using the normal blending mode at 91%
and lightly brushed the flowers at 16% opacity
That's it!

If you aren't familiar with LeAnne's blog,
you ought to pop over and have a peek...
besides the wonderful work of the other Flower Art Friday participants,
she has some happening stuff going on over there!

She has recently started an awesome new meme
You should definitely check it out!

...and
you should definitely have a great weekend!

  3. I'll have to figure out how to do that brush and blend thing as it really enhanced the beauty of this fragile flower.

    1. there are several free tutorials out there. I think that both Bonnie at Pixel Dust (Photo Art Friday button on sidebar) and Kim at Kim Klassen Cafe (Texture Tuesday button on sidebar) have free tutorials on textures...and Kim covers it in her skinny mini photoshop e-class.
